Unlocking Potential with Inclusivity

Every swing, every match, every program is a step toward a brighter future. The inclusive programs we support - from scholarships to grants, from financial assistance to tailored training - ensure that no talent is left behind. Whether it's an under-resourced youth dreaming of professional tennis or an adaptive athlete aiming to break barriers, we're here to help make those dreams a reality.

Notable Achievements

Celebrating Success, On and Off the Court

From academic scholars to tennis prodigies, our scholarship and grant recipients are a testament to what's achievable with the right support. They've not only aced their games but have also excelled in their academic pursuits, making us and their communities proud.

Here are just a few of the countless successes that scholarship and grant recipients have accomplished:

Emaleigh Board McGreevy

Emaleigh, a Kentucky native, received a Southern Tennis Foundation Scholarship in 2017. She graduated in May 2021 with a BBA in Accounting and MBA from Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee. She played tennis for the FHU Lady Lions all 4 years, was named to the Dean’s List multiple times, and was a finalist for the Miss FHU title. Emaleigh is a PTR instructor who accepted her first job after college as a tennis teaching pro at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville, Tenn. She is currently working as a Staff Accountant with HCA Healthcare in Brentwood, Tenn.

DaQuarris Poole

DaQuarris, an Alabama native, received the David R. Mauritson Memorial Scholarship in 2021 and stated, “This scholarship will go toward my education at Alabama A&M University where I am majoring in Physical Education. I believe by becoming a PE Teacher and coach, my community service investment portfolio increases. Having the opportunity combined with the platform to influence our youth has the potential to pay back exponential dividends. Coaches teach that hard work pays off and that you should never quit when things get hard. As Coach Poole says, I may be teaching tennis, but in reality, I will actually be changing lives.”

Isaiah Robertson

Isaiah, a Mississippi native, received the Mike McNulty Scholarship in 2023. He is pursuing a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Genetics at Boston University. He said, “Who would have ever imagined my walking by the high school tennis courts one summer and the high school coach asked me to try tennis would ignite my love for tennis. Then I attended the NJTL Leadership camp in Birmingham and I met Miss Cee Jai, Coach Lance, and Coach Rudy. Each of you and the NJTL truly changed my life in a positive way, helped me in developing my skills, let me see the world through different lenses, and I cannot thank each of you enough. Each of you have a passion for using tennis to develop character, and what you do makes a real difference. I hope to have that impact in my lifetime.”

These stories are a testament to the transformative power of our backed programs and the potential they unlock in young athletes and students. We eagerly await the success stories of tomorrow, inspired by today's achievers.
