"I was honored to receive the Southern Tennis Foundation (STF) scholarship, which provided financial assistance during my time at The University of Tennessee Knoxville. This scholarship allowed me to concentrate more on my engineering studies and make time for my passion for playing tennis with the varsity club team! Fortunately, the sport of tennis provided me with a secure environment to pursue this enriching opportunity, which supported my long-term goals and professional development as a nuclear engineering student.

I am a 2023 graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a degree in Nuclear Engineering and currently enrolled in a Pre-Med post-baccalaureate program to attend medical school soon.”

Excerpt from previous essay:

“After losing and winning many battles on the court, I was given great advice from many coaches and mentors on how to handle failure… Failure is a test run- everything that does not end with success is a test run and if I do not take something away from it and learn, I have wasted a valuable opportunity to improve. Life is all about changing tactics and doing what's going to be the best for me to keep going towards my goals. If I fail, I can learn from that mistake and when I try again, I will be stronger and better for it. I am prone to making mistakes and that does not make me a failure; instead, it makes me human.”
